In church sometimes (all the time) when the sermon doesn’t interest me, I read the Bible. And sometimes (all the time) I specifically read sections of the Bible that deal with people who have the same name as people I know in real life (Isaac, Jacob, Micah, Joshua, just to name a few) as if that might give me some kind of insight about their character, as if just owning the same name as a Biblical figure might create some kind of parallel between their lives.
So far I’ve been wrong, I have received no insight whatsoever and have yet to see any correlation between all the Isaacs, Jacobs, Micahs, Joshuas, etc etc, from thousands of years ago to now.
